Warsaw Uprising fighters pose with British PIAT anti-tank launchers. The PIAT (Projector, Infantry, Anti-Tank) was designed as the major anti-tank weapon of the British infantry. It entered service in 1943 and was highly praised as the “best” infantry answer to enemy armor that was usually attacked from the flank or rear.
