GAS DRILL AT A LONDON HOSPITAL: GAS MASKS FOR BABIES ARE TESTED, 1940. Nurses at a London hospital unpack baby gas respirators ready for a drill. On the window sill, their own gas masks can be seen. On the right hand side of each mask, the bellows arrangement that would supply the child with air can be seen. This tube needed to be pumped so that the child could breathe.
