Bomber B-17G-25-DL Sweet Pea (serial number 42-38078) 429 Squadron 2nd Bomb Group of the 15th Air Army US Air Force received a direct hit flak during a raid on the Hungarian city of Debrecen 21/09/1944 . Despite the critical damage the pilot Guy Miller (Guy M. Miller) was able to hold on to the airfield Amendola car in Italy.
