American B-17 bomber captured by the Germans and used by the KG 200 air wing for special operations. The Germans had no long range recon aircraft and sometimes used captured enemy planes for this. More than 100 captured planes, including fighters, bombers and transports were re-badged and re-used by the Germans, mostly as re-supply planes on the Russian front, after they had been fully evaluated. Anecdotes exist of Germans in captured aircraft attempting actual attacks but no evidence exists.
