TULSA OK racial riots of 1921 – The white mob ravaged the African American citizens “Greenwood” community & began to loot & torch 35 blocks of the poorly-constructed residents’ homes & businesses killing anyone who tried to stop them, including the aforementioned, Dr. Jackson, who was shot to death as he left his home during the riot. Those who were not killed and who were not armed, tried to flee from Greenwood. Those who were not successful, were arrested and detained.
