1944- French Algerian fuse-setter of a gun crew in the St. Elia area of Italy holding one of the 105mm shells used to shoot leaflets to Nazi soldiers. In his left hand, soldier holds a copy of “Frontpost” a publication printed in German. These leaflets are packed into the shells and spread over German-held territory as the shell bursts in the air.
