Viipuriinlinna / Viipuri Castle on fire 13.3.1940 just after the cease fire which ended the Winter War is declared at 11.00. The tower still flies the #Finnish flag, which was lowered at 14.00 13.3.1940. Viipuri was ceded from #Finland to #Russia, recaptured in 1941 and again ceded to Russia at the end of WWII. The city is now known as Vyborg. The castle still stands.
