The Jewish cemetery in Jurbarkas. On 3 July 1941, the Gestapo arrived in Jurbarkas & together with local police, rounded up 322 Jewish men. 30 Jewish men were collected and taken to dig pits in the local Jewish cemetery, where the rest of the Jews, along with several dozen suspected Soviet activists, were taken & later murdered. Before the shooting operation was carried out, the German & Lithuanian executers ordered the condemned to camouflage the site with tree branches.
