Ludbreg, Yugoslavia, circa 1946: Yugoslav-born Teodora Basch and her younger brother Zdravko were hidden by their aunt and her non-Jewish husband, with the help of neighbors, for almost four years. Their parents were deported to the Jasenovac and Stara Gradiska concentration camps and murdered. Both children survived the war.
