Warsaw Ghetto, 1941: Jewish employees of the ghetto administration work as censors of outgoing mail. Ghetto residents were allowed to send postcards to recipients elsewhere as part of the Nazi “normality” exercise. Anything though that even remotely referred to the true living conditions in the ghetto was expunged.
