A work crew in Wilhemshaven, Germany goes at it to repair sub U-30 after a combat patrol. At any given time, at least 1/3 of the submarine fleet was in harbor undergoing repairs, thus removing precious assets from combat. The German submarine campaign essentially failed because of the shortage of boats and the quick development of anti-sub technologies by the allies.
