Dorothy “Dottie” Schroeder (1928-1996) was the youngest founding member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League at the age fifteen. After playing 12 seasons for the AAGPBL, she spent four years touring North America with an 11 woman team. Her fifteen seasons of professional baseball remain a record for a female player.
