Alexandra standing in the Mauve Room outside the door to the Pallisander Room. To her left was a large arched greenhouse-like window which provided sunlight for the plants kept alongside a Louis XVI style screen. This lemonwood carved screen was set with crystal and lined with violet colored silk. It partioned off the location of her famous mauve chaise.
