Erich Muhsfeldt (1913-1948) was a Nazi war criminal as an SS-Oberscharfhrer and the chief of the crematoria at the Auschwitz and Majdanek extermination camps in occupied Poland during World War II. He was arrested, tried by the Supreme National Tribunal at the Auschwitz Trial of 1947 in Krakw, and sentenced to death for crimes against humanity. He was executed by hanging on January 28, 1948.
