Bethnal Green WW2 disaster, the worst civilian disaster of WW2 173 men woman and children lost their lives as the went down to Bethnal Green underground station, London in response to the siren. They died not from a bomb but by someone slipping and the people behind them continued rushing in all were suffocated and crushed to death
