The last PzKpfw VI Tiger to fight in Berlin Tiger No 323 of Panzer Division Mncheberg sits abandoned on Unter den Linden Strasse about a hundred yards away from the Brandenburg Gate. Tiger 323 was abandoned by its crew on 2 May 1945 following the broadcast of the German surrender by General Helmuth Weidling commander of the defense of Berlin.
