Virgina Hall: An American citizen who went to England and joined the OSS-AIA. She went to France and worked with the Marquis and other resistance fighters. She was on the German’s Most Wanted List. Called the “Limping Lady” because of her wooden leg, she trained herself not to limp to avoid detection. Afterthe war, President Harry S. Truman awarded her the Honor Distinguished Service Cross.
