Sniper Senior Red Corporal Yelizaveta Feodorovna Mironova, 255th Marine Brigade Black Sea Fleet, in Novorossiysk. She was credited with 100 confirmed kills. On September 10, 1943, during the Battle of Novorossiysk, she was badly injured; a perforated liver developed into peritonitis and she died in hospital on 29 September at the age of 19.
