Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas George Mountbatten, The Last Viceroy of India – The Earl Mountbatten of Burma. Uncle to Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, Godfather to Prince Charles, whose own son carries the name Louis in his honor – William Philip Arthur Louis, The Prince William. Lord Mountbatten played important role during the last days of the British Raj. In old age Mountbatten was blown up on his yacht by the IRA.
