Evelyn Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, GCVO, JP, LLD (27.8.1870/2.4.1960) b. Lady Evelyn Emily Mary FitzMaurice, daughter of the 5th Marquess of Lansdowne wife, Maud. Married 30.7.1892 to Victor Cavendish, who succeeded his uncle as 9th Duke of Devonshire in 1908, Evelyn became Duchess of Devonshire. Mistress of the Robes to Queen Mary from 1910/1916 & 1921/1953. She had 7 children.
