London, England. 1943-06-30. 413221 Sergeant Pilot F. E. Mathers, of Pagewood, NSW (right) and his rear-gunner Sergeant W. F. Speedie, RAF, of Fifeshire (left), who shot down a Messerschmitt aircraft as they were returning from a raid on Mulheim, with their own Halifax bomber badly damaged. They came to a BBC studio to record their story for the BBC Overseas Service.
