John Perrett aka “Potato Creek Johnny” Immigrated from Wales in 1883 at the age of 17. He made his way to Deadwood, South Dakota and is credited for finding the biggest gold nugget in history. The original nugget is kept in a Safe Deposit Box at a bank.
