AMERICAN AIRCRAFT ROYAL AIR FORCE SERVICE 1939-1945 BOEING MODEL 299 FORTRESS (ATP 12047B) Fortress Mark II, FA706, on the ground at Prestwick, before flying to Boscombe Down, Wiltshire, for assessment of the nose astrodome by the Aeroplane and Armament Experimental Establishment. This aircraft subsequently served with No. 220 Squadron RAF. The background has been erased by the wartime censor.
