On the left is Bayard Rustin, Deputy Director, and the right is Cleveland Robinson, Chairman of Administrative Committee. Rustin was the chief organizer of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. An openly gay man who was active in civil rights, gay rights and the nonviolence movements, his FBI file was over 10,000 pages. He was also a key adviser to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
