Photos of Jews who were killed during WW II on one of the few remaining buildings in present-day Muranow, Warsaw, Poland, which is built on rubble and the remains of Jews who perished there during WWII. When Polish journalist Beata Chomatowska walks the streets, she can’t stop thinking about what happened there. “It’s a daily trauma.” During the war, Nazis packed 400,000 Jews into the 1.3 sq mi area of the Warsaw Ghetto. Most were murdered at Treblinka, but 1000s are buried in the ruins.
