The Grand Duchess Marya Aleksndrovna of Russia (1853-1920). She was a daughter of Emperor Aleksndr II of Russia and his wife, Marie of Hesse and by Rhine. She was The Duchess of Edinburgh (1874-1900) and The Sovereign Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1893-1900) as the wife of Alfred, Sovereign Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha & Duke of Edinburgh. Her children were Alfred Hereditary Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and The Princesses Marie, Victoria, Alexandra, and Beatrice.
