The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara gets its name from Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia, wife of the Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich brother of Czar Alexander III of Russia. Made c1890. It can be worn widowed (with the circles empty), with emeralds or (as here) with pearls. Personal collection of the Queen.
