Father Patrick Desbois is a Roman Catholic priest and head of the Commission for Relations with Judaism of the French Bishops’ Conference. He has spent years searching for unmarked common graves in Ukraine, where over one million Jews were shot by the Nazis. His awards include the Medal of Valor by the Simon Wisenthal Center, the Humanitarian Award by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Jan Karski Award by the American Jewish Committee. He authored “Holocaust by Bullets” in 2008.
