This shows a heavy artillery gun being transported along a road towards the Front. The gun strapped to an eight-wheeled carriage is being hauled by a tractor with massive tracked back wheels. Heavy artillery guns were difficult and slow to move so they needed to be manoeuvred into position well before a new offensive Flanders 1917.
