Army Group Center, Eastern Front, Aug 1941: Soviet tanker emerges from the turret of a T-26 light tank with his hands in the air. The T-26 was easily knocked out by even the basic German anti-tank weapons and offered little protection to its occupants. Especially in the first weeks of the invasion, Soviet tankers chose to surrender rather than test the strengths and weaknesses of German anti-tank arms.
